Frequently asked questions

What is Pauli Broccoli & Friends?

Pauli Broccoli & Friends is a children's edutainment brand created by Celebrity Nutritionist Birgit Waites, M.S. Pauli and 71 original fruit and veggie friends from around the world star in picture books, songs, games, a passport workbook and a classroom curriculum that help kids ages 4–8 love healthy food and learn about cultures, languages and places.

Who is Pauli Broccoli?

Pauli is a cheerful little broccoli from Tasty Town, USA. When the farmer forgot to pick him after the harvest, Sojourner, a big blue bird, invited him on a trip around the world. In every book Pauli flies to a new country and makes a new fruit or vegetable friend.

How many characters are there?

There are 71 original Pauli Broccoli & Friends characters from around the world. Each friend is a real fruit, vegetable or spice from a real place, with a name, a personality and a story from home. Every character is an original creation.

What age are the books for?

The picture books are made for children ages 4–8, from preschool through early elementary. Younger kids enjoy the songs and pictures, and the Passport workbook and Curriculum are designed for classrooms and homeschool families.

Where can I buy the books?

The paperback picture books are on Amazon right now. Brand-new digital editions of the books, Pauli's Global Passport, the Activity Book and the Global Garden Curriculum are coming soon. Join the free Garden Club to hear the moment they're ready. Classroom printables are in our Teachers Pay Teachers store.

When are the digital books coming back?

We're giving every digital book a fresh new edition. Garden Club members hear first when each one is ready, along with free printables, new songs and new-friend reveals. Want a book today? The paperbacks are on Amazon.

Which book should we start with?

Start with Book 1, Pauli Broccoli and Li Lychee of China, which tells how Pauli meets Sojourner. After that, every book works on its own, so kids can jump to any country they're curious about.

Can teachers use Pauli Broccoli & Friends in class?

Yes. The Global Garden Curriculum, Pauli's Global Passport and the picture books support units on healthy eating, around-the-world themes, cultures and geography. Printables are also on Teachers Pay Teachers, and schools can ask about class sets through our contact form.
