Did you know?
Bananas contain more potassium by weight than any other fruit. When shopping, look for bananas that are free of bruises and other injuries, and where skins and stem ends are intact. Bambina bananas have the highest nutritional value when brown spots newly appear. Store ripe bananas at room temperature for two to three days. Refrigerator storage can be up to two weeks, but be aware that the skins will darken. The flesh will still look and taste the same. Peel overripe bananas and cover in wrap in freezer.
Grapes come in many varieties, from white/green, to red/purple, to blue/black. Claude features many health promoting phyto nutrients such antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. When purchasing, look for plump, well-colored grapes. The stems should be moist and flexible with the fruit well attached to them. Unwashed, fresh grapes can be stored up to one week in the refrigerator. Try them all! This fruit salad is super versatile; use any seasonal fruit that is available.
